World Championship Series
Original List:
• The following rules cover for all Divisions
• We will take the Top 10 from last year to determine original Top 10.
• Regular List will consist of 24 bowlers (Champion, #1 Challenger and Top 22).
• Original List of Bowlers must pay $40 each to remain on the list ($80 for Tag Teams). 100% of the $40 will be spread evenly throughout the season to add to the Regional Title Matches.
How to get a match:
Bowl a VIRTUAL QUALIFIER:
• These Virtual Qualifiers will be during pre-determined events every 2 months.
o NE Qualifiers
▪ Qualifier 1 – October (Team Relay / Team Rankings)
▪ Qualifier 2 – December (Last Team Standing)
▪ Qualifier 3 – February (Unholy Alliance)
▪ Qualifier 4 – April (Conference Classic)
▪ Qualifier 5 – June (Last Man/Woman Standing)
o SE Qualifiers
▪ Qualifier 1 – October (Team Rankings Tournament and SE Unholy)
▪ Qualifier 2 – December (Last Team Standing)
▪ Qualifier 3 – February (Conference Classic)
▪ Qualifier 4 – April (Team Relay)
▪ Qualifier 5 – June (Last Man/Woman Standing)
o NOTE: Qualifiers are subject to change, pending on event availability.
• Bowlers will pay $10 per series they are attempting to qualify for (Pre-Pay)
o This money will go straight to the Match Pool for the specific division entered
• This is to have their scores count towards the Championship Series Virtual Qualifier (Tag Team, Vixens, Cruiserweight or Regional Title)
• The number of people being added to the List will depend on the number of spots on the List that need to be filled. People that qualified will be entered into the list on a monthly basis (based on placement) People who finished #1 in their qualifier locations will be placed higher than lower seeded finishers with higher scores.
• If you qualify to get on the list, you will then be able to pay the additional $30 to enter the match pool
o This money will go straight to the Match Pool for the specific division entered
• Monies will be used for Match Pool throughout the season.
Match – Ups:
• Bowlers will bowl Best of 7 matches. Whoever wins 4 out of 7 games wins the match. If a game ends in a tie, a 9th and 10th Frame roll-off will occur (In a tag team match, the bowler that finishes the game will bowl the tie-breaker).
o Match-ups will happen after designated UBA tour stops, or in a neutral house if agreed to before-hand by all parties involved. Though qualifiers will be held once every two months, Match-ups will happen once per month, and all match-ups must happen before the next designated round of match-ups.
o Title defenses will happen after designated tour stops or tournaments. All four regional titles will be defended once per month, but not necessarily in the same location.
o Match-ups will be based on the location of bowlers on a 'Top 22 list'. 1 will bowl 2, 3 will bowl 4, and so on.
o Bowlers will pay $10 per match, which will be registered online. Loser of match will pay lineage. All linage will be collected before the match starts. Failure to pay before the match starts will result in an automatic loss.
o If a bowler wins a match when they are in the Top 10 list, they will get a bonus stipend, based on this chart:
Champ Vs. Challenger / Winner gets 20%.
1. Vs. 2 / Winner gets PRIZE: 15%
3. Vs. 4 / Winner gets PRIZE: 10%
5. Vs. 6 / Winner gets PRIZE: 10%
7. Vs. 8 / Winner gets PRIZE: 5%
9. Vs. 10 / Winner gets PRIZE: 5%
30% will roll over to Battle Bowl / Mega Bowl
The remaining percentages are applied to UBA fees and expenses.
o A loss in the Championship Match or Top Ten moves the bowler into the 'Danger Zone' where they must win their next match or be eliminated.
o New qualifiers are ranked based on score; a win puts them in the Top Ten and a loss puts them in the 'Danger Zone'
o An example of how this works is found in the ‘MISC’ section below
Misc.:
• Failure to either show up to a match or the inability to set one up will result in a loss. There is a NO “FREEZE” Option. Emergency Postponements will be allowed if approved by all parties AND the match can get done before the next set of match-ups; hence it is advised to set up matches as early as possible
• An unforeseen event that would force the bowler to be removed from the list (injury, etc.) may (OR MAY NOT) result in the bowler being reinstated, upon the discretion of the Entertainment Director. The placement of the bowler back into the series and how they get back in will ALSO be upon the discretion of the Entertainment Director
• ALL BOWLERS MUST SUBMIT PICTURE IN HIGH QUALITY FORMAT
• If someone who’s on the Cruiserweight list goes over the 210 average limit due to new Season’s averages or an OFFICIAL Re-Rate they will be removed.
• If a Tag Team goes over the 420 average limit due to new season’s averages or an OFFICIAL Re-Rate, the teams may or may not have the opportunity to split into two new tag teams (based on chart availability). Should there be chart availability, then the two new teams will bowl each other, with the winner staying in the spot and the loser dropping to the bottom of the list. If there is not chart availability, they will have the opportunity to replace someone on their team before their next match up.
• If a Tag Team has to make a change due to injury, emergency, etc. the returning player does NOT have the option to split into a new tag team.
